Our Favorite Tea to help with Weight loss and Detoxification: Cumin, Coriander and Fennel Tea

Why do I love CCF tea?

I love this tea because many goals are met by sipping on this powerful tea daily.
The truth is, we are all in desperate need to accomplish certain goals.

Stay hydrated by drinking ½ your body weight water daily.

If you weigh 140lbs, this would be 70 ounces of water (or liquids that are NOT dehydrating like alcohol or coffee, daily)

This fundamental principle is often overlooked by many. Why?

We are often so busy taking care of others and accomplishing tasks during the day, which are immediate needs, we forget to drink fluids which hydrate our cells and keep our brains and body feeling optimal and sharp.

When the brain and body become dehydrated, we feel a certain way.  Foggy brain, tired, and headaches are common complaints.

I discuss dehydration and links to imbalancing the Vata dosha (which is governed by dryness), in my upcoming book, but I will tell you that this is something that could help all dosha types stay in balance.

Avoid Caffeine as it Could worsen Adrenal Health

This country is hooked on caffeine. The look I get when I ask patients to limit their caffeine consumption is often a look of fear, combined with anger and disappointment.

How will I SURVIVE?? Is he question I often hear!
Trust me, whether you believe it or not, you WILL survive!

Caffeine is likely doing more harm for you than good.
Yes, I know many will argue that caffeine can help break a headache.  It is in many over the counter headache remedies, isn’t it?  The problem is that caffeine is double-edged.  A little bit may be beneficial, while too much (for some just one cup daily) can lead to rebound headaches and suppress natural adrenal cortisol production.  We need cortisol to keep us feeling happy, healthy and pain-free!  Again, more about this in my upcoming book…

CCF will give you two MAJOR benefits- staying hydrated and an option to avoid caffeine.

In addition, these 3 seeds are incredibly therapeutic for you!

Cumin Seeds:

Cumin Seeds

These seeds are long and oval-shaped. Used for many ethnic dishes, this seed has the ability to pacify all dosha types. It is well known for its positive effects on digestive health and its ability to cleanse and detoxify the body.

Benefits include:

  • Reducing gas, indigestion and cramps
  • May help absorb minerals from the intestines
  • Eliminating toxins and congestion from body and mind

Coriander Seeds:

Coriander Seeds

This is the seed of the cilantro leaf and is small and round. This seed also balances all three doshas, with a beautiful effect on cooling high body temperature and excess gastric “fire”.

Benefits include:

  • Reducing heat or acid in the stomach
  • Decrease congestion
  • Calm digestive system and helps joint pain
  • Improving skin irritation or rashes

Fennel Seeds:

Fennel Seeds

This seed is a cousin to Anise and Dill and is cylindrical in shape. This seed is often chewed at the end of an indian meal to support digestion.

Benefits include:

  • Relieving gas and cramping
  • Calms mind and improves clarity of thinking
  • Supports healthy menstrual flow
  • Stimulates appetite

Our recommendation is to choose one of our Organic CCF teas – Vata, Pitta or Kapha blends. These teas are all made with organic cumin, coriander and fennel seeds, along with supportive organic herbals that support the mind and body.

Sip 3-4 sips every 30 minutes throughout the day. You will find yourself feeling more focused, motivated, happy and may even lose some weight!  Give it a try and please remember to sip the tea daily for maximum effects.
